Manchester United ready £135m raid for 94-goal Barcelona forward

Manchester United are reportedly ready to break the world record transfer fee again, by attempting to lure Luis Suarez to Old Trafford, according to Don Balon.

The Premier League side, who currently sit seventh in the English top-flight standings and host newly promoted Burnley on Saturday afternoon, have been linked with a surprise move for the FC Barcelona forward.

The 29-year-old, who has 88 international caps for Uruguay, has already scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 13 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga giants so far this season.

The report suggests that the Red Devils are prepared to slash out an enormous £135m to sign the former Liverpool forward, who left Anfield back in July 2014 for a reported £65m.

However, it may not only be Jose Mourinho’s men in Manchester who are interested in the Uruguayan hitman, with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City also said to be weighing up a future move.
